Eating Out

There are many superb restaurants in the Côtes-d'Armor area. Meals here will highlight the many local delicacies and abundance of fresh seafood, shellfish above all - lobster, langostines, mussels, oysters, clams and scallops.

Local cheeses, artichokes, early potatoes, lamb and crepes have also helped make Breton cuisine famous. Of particular note (and value) are restaurants in Locquirec (5 mins), Ploumanac'h (nr Perros-Guirec - 20 mins away) and or and lunch time eating at the "Chateigner" restaurant in nearby Plouégat-Guerrand (10 mins away) where a five course meal costs just £6 per person, probably the best value meal anywhere!

We have listed some favourite restaurants of ours.

Plouégat-Guerrand: Chateigner
A Lunchtime highlight, 5 course meal unbelievable value, don't miss it! Now at 11 Euros per head but still very good value, it's well worth the drive inland.

Ploumanac'h: Le Mao

Excellent value fish restaurant, make sure you book, 1/2 Crab costs £4 and so does a bottle of Muscadet! prices still low compared to other places.

Locquirec: Brasserie

Good quality, imaginative cuisine, though portions could be larger but with a great sea view! A very popular place to eat.

Saint Michel En Greve: Au Bon Accueil

Located on the hill in the village. The food was very tasty here and with nice eating area. Unfortunately marred by TV noise from the cafe part of the establishment. It's one of the closet places to the gites and is a very popular place to eat.
